JRS Knowhow Closing

We are sad to share that JRS Knowhow Ltd is closing its digital doors at the end of March 2024. The current financial climate and cost of living crisis have been challenging for us to navigate as a newer organisation, and like any startup cashflow has been an up and down journey.

If you have any questions about how this affects you in the meantime, you can ask Jen, our Director of JRS Knowhow, at jen@jrsknowhow.org.

After the 29 March 2024, any queries, invoices and requests can be directed to our parent charity JustRight Scotland admin@justrightscotland.org.

Over the last three years, we have worked on many exciting projects, edited countless learning videos and facilitated thousands of hours of online meetings. We wanted to share a few things that we are particularly proud of:

  • Learning with and training nearly 1,500 learners since we started trading in early 2021
  • Delivering equality training to boards, senior decision makers, line managers and staff at two public authorities and a large charity
  • Creating a Training Plan and Skills Framework for the Scottish public authority workforce about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child with partners JustRight Scotland, Together, Children’s Parliament and the Observatory on Children’s Rights at Swansea University, and two fantastic panels of collaborators
  • Raising the profile of the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights by organising a recent event with the IBA for the Law Society of Scotland’s Equality Network

We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their time, energy and enthusiasm working with us over the years.

We hope this isn’t goodbye, it is just so long for now. The work of our founding organisation JustRight Scotland defending and extending the rights of people across Scotland continues.

You can stay connected with the team on Linkedin (Jen, Laura, and Ricarda). We will individually continue to strive to make Scotland a fairer place to live and work, and to inspire organisations to create more welcoming environments for marginalised people and groups.
